May

On the 18th of May we celebrated this website's 1st birthday! We have worked hard throughout the year, and have been extremely pleased with it's success so far. A big thank to you, our customers.

April

On the 1st of April, Susie and John were asked personally by the King of Hay (Richard Booth) to join him at his annual Investiture event at Hay castle. It was no April fool and both of them were delighted to be made members of the Hay Order of Chivalry. The Investiture took place at the State Room in the castle where an eclectic mix of individuals including Lords, Ladies, Dukes and Dames all thoroughly enjoyed the meal and jovial hospitality bestowed by the host.

 

March

March has flown by, and suddenly, Easter is here.

February

After a couple of excellent buying trips, we have lots more lovely things! Jane is has been working hard photographing the new stock, and has added more items to the website. Click to see more Bookends, Angels, Buddhas, Hearts and Eggs.

January 2010

January is always a month in which we are able to do all the jobs that we haven't had time to do throughout the previous year. We are on the trail of some new stock and Jane is busy adding Rune Stones and more Unusual Stones to the web site. She has also added more Crystal Animals.

Anna has spent a lot of time re-organising Geospace (the crystal part of the shop in Hay on Wye) which now looks wonderful!

The deep snow and very cold weather we had at the start of the month encouraged us to get outside with our cameras, and this inquisitive little Robin had to come and say 'hello'!

December

We have been advised by Royal Mail that the last recommended posting date to arrive before Christmas is Monday 21st December. Please place your orders by 9am on Monday 21st, so that we get them to you in time. Any orders received after the 21st will still be posted, usually within 24 hours, as normal. 

Jane has placed on the website some jewellery created with enamel, diamonds and sterling silver. Only available on the website, you can find them here.

A very hectic month - preparing the shop for the Christmas rush, and we have had our office space renovated so we are now getting back to normal!

October

September

We've taken advantage of the fine weather, a bit late in the summer, to start making a thousand wind chimes. The process starts with waterproofing the tubes, then moves on to painting and varnishing. This year, we have decided to make some new colours, and have spent a long time experimenting with different colour combinations.

August

August has been a very busy month, and we seem to be doing well despite the recession. The Wish Candles are now ready, and Jane has just put them onto the website - click here to follow a link to them.

John and Susie will be off to some trade shows during September, searching out some lovely new products for the shop and website.

July

John has bought some gorgeous crystal spheres, look out for some beautiful Labradorite, Quartz, Fluorite and Smoky Quartz spheres on the website soon!

We are ready in the shop for a busy summer season, and have some unusual new fairies in the shop which are selling really well! Susie and Anna are working hard displaying the lovely crystals in the shop that Anna and John bought recently.

June

After a very busy festival week in the shop, things are returning to normal!  We all had an awful shock on the Tuesday after the Bank Holiday as we had been broken into overnight. We lost a considerable amount of money and some jewellery, and had a lot of damage to the doors. We would like to thank everyone who rallied round and helped us get the shop up and running that day.

Jane is busy adding even more products to the website, and making lots of jewellery for the shop. She is also working on a new range of Wish Candles, they'll be on the website in a few weeks.

Anna is getting ready for a crystal buying expedition later in the month, look out for lovely new crystals soon!

May

18th May - Exciting stuff, the website goes live. After months of preparation, blood, sweat and tears, it is finally ready! 

In the shop we have been busily displaying some super new fossils and crystals bought on a recent trip.

Looking forward to the Hay on Wye Literary Festival, 22nd to 31st of May, meeting up with old customers and spreading the word about the website.

Satori has been commisioned by Richard Booth, the King of Hay, to make an Order of the Garter sash, which Susie has creatively designed and made.
